Theatre Open Day

We will be holding our annual Open Day on Saturday 13th November from 10am – 1pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity to see how a community Theatre works.

Join us for a behind the scenes tour of the theatre, and to have a chat with our existing volunteers and the Theatre’s Trustees about their roles.

Frome Memorial Theatre is run entirely by a dedicated staff of 100+ volunteers. We are always looking for new volunteers to join us, with current vacancies in our Kiosk, Box Office, Front of House, Marketing and Backstage/Technical teams.

The theatre can offer you training opportunities, additional skills for your CV and a chance to meet new people and have fun.
If you are interested in joining our team of volunteers or if you would just like to know more about the theatre, come along to the Open Day.

We look forward to seeing you.

Re-opening To Full Capacity

Following the Government’s decision to lift restrictions on 19th July, Frome Memorial Theatre are pleased to re-open with full capacity performances. We would like to reassure our customers that we will be doing everything we can to keep you, our volunteer staff and performers safe and well whilst in our theatre.

In line with the Government’s guidance, we recommend customers continue to wear a face covering to reduce the risk both to themselves, fellow customers and our volunteer staff. We are aware that wearing a mask is no longer mandatory and this will therefore be a personal choice.

Hand sanitising stations will remain in place, and we encourage you to use these frequently whilst moving around the theatre.

Although Track & Trace is no longer legally required, we would still encourage all customers to check in on arrival by scanning the official NHS QR codes using the COVID 19 app.

Where possible we will be asking customers to continue to pay with contactless payment to reduce the amount of unnecessary physical contact.

Perspex safety screens will remain in place to minimise the potential spread of COVID where close proximity is necessary between staff and customers.

The venue will be continuing with increased cleaning, with more regular cleaning of touch points and regularly used surfaces and wherever possible ventilation will be maximised.

If you are feeling unwell, show symptoms of COVID or have been in contact with someone who has or showing signs of COVID, under no circumstances should you attend any event at the theatre. Please book a PCR test and self-isolate at home. If you become unwell after attending an event at the theatre, please follow the publicised COVID procedures.

Thank you for your continued support throughout the pandemic and we look forward to welcoming you back with some great entertainment.
